Check to see if the directory already exists before uploading any thing to the FTP. Once sufficient information is on the site, I'll make it a passworded webpage for people to download from, although in the meantime you can download from a signficantly faster FTP.
Also if you don't have an FTP client, you may use this instead:
webftp.dreamhost.com
This works for uploading lots of small text files, but not so great for anything large. Thanks!
