So. Having spent the day filling out application form after application form for internships I have almost no chance of getting, it has come to my attention that my chances would be much better if:
-I was of an ethnic minority / disabled / generally impoverished
-I hadn't spent my whole life doing theatre and not working for my degree, because, as it turns out, I don't want to do theatre
-I knew what it is that I want to do
Not to rant, but there are actually internships that you can only apply for if you are from an ethnic minority. That's not cool. I am all about equal opportunities, but really.. just because I'm white doesn't mean I don't merit an internship with the FCO diplomatic service economists... it pisses me off. Knob ends.
Ugh. Somewhat soul-destroying and quite possibly a waste of a day. Seriously considering just doing theatre... think how much fun that would be. We all love theatre.
Illness is improving, and the Kaiser Chiefs were entirely fantastic. Good times.
Verona and Kanye West on Wednesday, also good times, with hopefully some work and spanish-learning beforehand. Rock the boat.
