Contemplating making this lj Friends Only, and even have the banner already. starrygirl604 was kind enough to make it for me. 'Tis very spiffy. Just have to figure out that bit. So, if you're reading this now, and think I'm either wacky or interesting enough to keep reading about, just randomly reply to this, and I'll add you to Friends in advance so you'll still have access if I go ahead and do it.

Not too bad really. Terri was on the war path today, but Ali and I got the all clear for some reason. She was snapping at everyone else's heels. She took me into the education room this morning pretty much first thing to offer her condolences regarding my nan. That was nice of her. She said if I ever needed to talk, or just take a breather, I could, and that was touching. I appreciated that.

Well, there were five of us in Ents today. Me, Daz, Ali, Maz and Ryan. Only four assigned rotas... heh. Here's the funny part. These guys are all like, "I want C!" "D's mine!" "Can I have B?!" that they don't realise, whoever doesn't get one doesn't have to do any talks! XD So I let them fight over them, and hand them out, and get out of display talks! Mwahahaha! Go Clez for her cunning! XD

Anyway, so I was odd-job person. Had to do a little of Daz's rota in the morning, cuz Simon had asked him to count treasure trail quizzes whilst he was away, but hadn't put down how many of these things were in each box... so poor Daz had to get up on the ladders in the cash office, haul down a box, and count them out >.O

Hmm... what else? Oh yeah, Terri is calling me "My woman" all day, which means you KNOW you've either done something right, or you're in her favour for no real reason. I think she's just giving me a break for now, cuz of recent events. Quite nice of her really, not that I want special treatment over all the others, cuz I'm actually quite lazy from time to time at work.

Had to cover FOH (front of house) lunch, and Ryan and Suzie got told off for continuously having their lunches together. So those two aren't allowed to do that anymore. Tut tut, guys. I did TRY and warn Ryan yesterday that Terri wouldn't like it. Never mind...

Tony apologised for his behaviour yesterday, and I told him it was all right, because we'd all had long days, and we were all stressed. That was that, and we're pals again ^_^ Yay, cuz I like Tony.

Not much else happened until I was on my lunch. Had a cheesburger and chips today (naughty me) and went to get a cup of chilled water from the office, cuz it's more hydrating that Sprite or whatever. But as I was just about to go into the office, I hear Terri's reproachful tones down the bottom of the stairs, out of sight in person, and I hold my keys still and quiet at my belt, and listen.

"This isn't the first time today, and I'm not naming names, but none of you are where you're supposed to be." Uh oh... that had GOT to be Ents.

It was only when I got back downstairs, that I found out this was Ryan and Maria. They got a verbal WARNING! O.O Ryan said he was about ready to quit, but I told him he has got to just roll with the punches, cuz Terri is the boss-lady, and it's her word goes. We all have our off days, and I'm not supporting her bollocking those two, cuz they're my friends, but shit happens unfortunately. She'll get over it.

Daz apparently got collared for his shark feed talk being individual as well. He doesn't do it like the rest of us, and changes the data around to make it different from a run of the mill shark talk, which is fair enough, cuz as he put it, if people come back for the feed, they don't want to hear the talk again, do they? *shrug*

So Terri had decided that Ali or I could go first. But she sent Ryan home first of all, because, as she told Ali, "I'm sick of him." ... Quite rude, actually. Don't tell another member of the Ents staff that! We're all friends, and WILL share information/gossip! >.<

So yeah, Ryan went home first. I was on FOH by this time, cuz Suzie was unwell, and is having a blood test tomorrow, and got sent home early. Fair do's. I was handing out leaflets and quiz cards. After that, Ali was the next to go. But before she left, she told Maria and me that Terri was angry and Maz and Daz cuz of the talk and "not being where you're supposed to" thing. Odd.

We stayed open later than normal. 'Til about twenty past five, I think, and about ten minutes later, I shut down that godforsaken pit of a touchpool. (Note: I let a crab freely walk across my hands for the first time today - I'm a wuss, I know, but she was majorly placid) After that, we had a look about, and Maz and I split up. I went onto front desk, where Nicola was counting vouchers (NOT FUN! - speaking from experience) and I ring up to Terri to let her know.

"Just to tell you that I've emptied the touchpool, because there's no one in the centre until after that point."

"Okay. Fine. So is there anyone left in displays?"

"Yeah; they're all in sharks and beyond."

"Okay, you can all go home then." What the...? I hadn't been expecting that. Maz comes over, and I relay this to her, and then we go to get Daz-man (my silly nickname for him) and tell him.

"But there's still people in the centre," he said, brow furrowing. He's clearly not impressed by this point. I joke about and say, "She's THAT sick of us." I laughed, but he twisted it around, and said, "I'm sick of HER." What else could I do but nod? I mean, Terri can be a lovely woman, but she can't half be mean at times.

Ah well. Oh yeah... Daz said the sweetest thing to me earlier. I'll try to put down as much of it in his own words as I can remember:

"Oh, I was gonna text Tina, to say sorry about your nan. I got REALLY busy, and just forgot, but I AM sorry. I had no idea."

"Thanks for that. That was why I was so down before my absence."

"Yeah, I thought as much. But like I said, I'm really sorry, and if you ever want or need to talk, I'm here. If you need a ten minute break, even if you've already had one, TAKE one. I don't mind at all. But like I said, I was going to text Tina, but couldn't get around to it. How are you now, anyway?"

"I'm better now, thanks." It was so sweet, I just about cried. He can be a bit of a bruiser, but damn he can be compassionate and considerate when he wants to be. He's really sympathetic, and we get on really well. We've known each other a few years now, and he's one of my best mates there, I think, though all the ents team are quite close. Not sure about Simon though... he needs to get more involved.

Gah, I've rambled again! Got home about ten past six, and had my dinner, with some lovely gateau (sp?) afterwards, and a cup of tea. Computer didn't really want to do anything at first, but it didn't want to turn off tomorrow either.

Oh yeah, one more thing for now... I have to work tomorrow, when I was supposed to have the day off. Terri asked me if I was up for a few extra hours on my additional third day off to go in the shop. I said, if she needed me, I was hers, to which she agreed and jumped at. So... she puts me in tomorrow. Nice warning there, though I should've known that was coming, heh. Huge delivery apparently, so Becky and I (who actually volunteered to come in on her day off, but Terri still brings both of us in o.O) are starting at 11, and supposedly working 'til five, but we'll see what happens. Might finish early, so long as we storm out that delivery.

All in all, not a bad day ^_^
