Stocking Stuffer #11: Let it Snow
Fic by Clexmas Elf Sue Dreams
Fluff, crack, and Conner
“And it’s still terrible outside?” Lex asked. He let his coat drop back to the hook and gave up any thought of going outside.
Clark nodded quickly. “The weather is frightful, Lex.”
Lex hmmed. “I should build up the fire, then.” He gestured Clark toward the couch and Clark was sitting there quicker than a breath, smiling at Lex.
“That’d be delightful.” They’d barely been settled on the couch when Clark gazed toward the windows and murmured, “It doesn’t show signs of stopping.”
Lex thought about going to the kitchen, but forewent preparing any kind of snack that required popping. “The lights are turned low.” He leaned forward and crawled into Clark’s lap. “We’ll keep the fire stoked and you can stay the night.”
Clark laughed into Lex’s kiss, but returned it. “Because it’s cold?”
Lex shook his head and captured Clark’s lips again. “Because I’ll hold you tight to keep you warm.”
“Oh,” Clark said softly, arms coming around Lex. “I guess we can let it snow, then.”

Conner gagged and looked to his grandmother for help, but her smile was as sappy as Clark’s at the retelling. “You didn’t really woo each other with Christmas songs,” he protested. Only Jonathon seemed unimpressed, but even he kept quiet. Conner groaned and buried his face in his hands. “I’m never going to be able to listen to the radio at Christmas time again. I liked that song!”
“So did we,” Lex murmured. Conner felt a hand ruffle his hair and knew without looking that it was Lex, because Lex was a little rougher than Clark, free to tug playfully with absolutely no fear of causing discomfort. “Would you rather hear about the snowman? Because I can promise you that after living in Smallville this long, absolutely nothing is sacred.”
