Soon I'm going to post the Super Sexy Scary 2010 sign ups. We're going to do this one a bit differently, and I hope it works out. Also, I collected the links for the Spring Fling 2010 and posted them in the sidebar. (Way to go, guys! We had relatively few dropouts, and I know that was due to RL issues and not lack of interest ( Read more... )

Sounds exciting. I'll look forward to more details when you have time, and have them worked out.

Sexy Scary! ^_^ I like the sound of that.

Giftmas big-bang, lol. ^^; I like the idea, though I don't want Carol to be over-worked with art! We need more rewards for the artists too. Adding in fanmixes as Ryuutchi did is a great idea, and vids would be lovely, though vids are also good in the challenge itself.

More distribution about the challenges is good too. We could divvy up the various mailing lists and each agree to post on them, spreading the posts out so we don't overwhelm the listees.

Is it too much? I've just been having so much fun fangirling my own stuff with mixes and covers (to make myself finish things), that I'm sure people would enjoy some fanning of their stuff. We don't have to, but it's something I'ld like to do.

I could help do art, vids, fanmixes, etc., but it all sort of hinges on my capacity to do anything at that point of the year, since applications are due January 15th. We can get a few people to help with that part, but additionally, it's not exactly like a big bang, because the stories aren't all going to be that long, and we never get as many people doing this as they do at the big bang.

There are mailing lists we could use? I was just thinking other communities. Making a list of them would be good, though, so we don't annoy people.

I know I would love to have fanning of my work, definitely, but I'm just a little leery since in the big bang we only had four artists total and as I'm going in and commenting on them myself right now... I'm noticing there's not a lot of feedback for the artists. o.o So the return for ratio for the artists is a little, um, skewed. The writers definitely love them to bits, but otherwise I'm not sure how much encouragement they get. We need an "artist appreciation corner". (And I'm not just saying it for me, because Carol does a *LOT* of work and covers for us, and the fanmixes and hand-art take time... and I don't see *any* comments on the fanmixes, which is really sad since I know how much time they take picking out just everything right ( ... )

Hm. That's a good point. I don't remember anyone posting their art on their journals afterward, as people tend to do for fic, so they're really not getting any comments ( ... )

Sounds like wonderful ideas. I'm on a cw_land community and they have a lounge were we can pimp all kinds of events. I'd love to do it there.

I will also help in any way I can. Artwork, or whichever way you need me. I think your outline of the idea above is good. If the artist have some time to work they can post at the same time the story is posted. Kinda like double gifts.

Thank you. For the pimp offer, and the artwork support. When we get closer to, I'll try to work out a more definitive timeline.
