Stocking Stuffers Explained! ^_^
At Clexmas, we've gotten into a little tradition of having a post a day from about December 20 onward through the end of the posting. We spread the main gifts out, based on who has gotten their's in, and then for the days where we don't have a major gift post, we do a little Stocking Stuffer. It's a lot of fun for the community to be able to get gifts of Clex each day, between the full gifts.
Stocking Stuffers are little gifts for everybody. We count the big exchange as the presents under the tree for Clexmas, and these are the little things put inside the stockings over the mantle that are there for fun and enjoyment before getting to the ones under the tree.
They're not really supposed to outshine the main presents that people are doing for the exchange, so we try and keep Stocking Stuffers simple. Fics should be 500-700 words, Pictures should be simple drawings, basic banner, small wallpaper size, a small batch of icons, or a song or poem. Or other little games and fun things that just don't fall under the standard categories but are still small and fun enough for a stocking stuffer.
Usually we have enough volunteers to use 1-3 stuffing gifts from each. Please do as many or as few as you like - we'll get them posted. ^^ And if it turns out that you can't do any, please don't worry about it! These are supposed to be fun and extra, so don't stress if it's going to cause more problems.
There's no set timeline on the stuffers, but we usually need the most right at the start of Clexmas while we're waiting for the fics to come in. We usually start posting stuffers on the 20th, to get a head-start on the holidays (and to remind people about their gifts, lol)..
You can email completed stuffers to us at clexmas@gmail.com . We announce who did stocking stuffers with the posting, rather than being anonymous for them - unless you've got a diabolical Lexian plan in mind for them and would like something different. :)
