Spring Fling 2015: Clexmas Bingo!

Spring has sprung, and boys have returned to frolic in the fics. And pics, and vids, and meta, and song mixes and anything else that we can think of for them. :)

I'm definitely interested (the more Clex, the better always!), but I've two questions first:

1. Did the banners for the 2011 (I know it was a while back *g*) bingo ever get done?

2. What, precisely, is schmoop? I know I should know it, but I'm just too bloody tired to remember. :-)

Um, no. I don't think the old banners ever went out. I'll ask for a volunteer to do that. We had such plans...

Schmoop is fluffy, happy, domestic type things, like baking cookies together or nose kisses. You can see schmoop bingo's list of prompts at http://schmoop-bingo.livejournal.com/tag/prompt%20list - we have a lot of those in ours.

The best laid plans of micecats and men, mate. :-) I'm no good at photomanipping, but if it's just a simple banner that was needed for those, I think I can probably help out. I know how life gets the better of us all, but since I'd changed names, I honestly didn't know if maybe I'd missed the banners or if something had happened. It was also my first time of really doing a bingo, so I admit I was a tad disappointed at the time. But that was years ago, and I totally get it. :-)

I will also be very happy to take a bingo card, but with more schmoop than kink please as I rarely write sex scenes. I'll take the boys all the way up to the point but usually leave the rest to the reader's imagination. :-)

Let me see what I can do with it this weekend. :) I wanted originally to make them all customized, and I feel bad about asking ctbn60 to do all of them, especially as she gets two of them herself! I'm sorry about not getting them out back then.

Did you want with mpreg or without? :)

Even if it's a kink prompt, it's still up to you what to write with the prompt - for instance kink "in public" could be reduced to something much simpler than they'd probably intended. ^^ But even so, if you don't think you can write to what card first comes out, let me know and I can get you another!

Cool, and like I said, I do totally get it, but as it had been my first bingo and I was also in a table comm who likewise promised what they were eventually unable to deliver, I kinda had to ask to get it out of my head. :-) Y'know, one of those things that we wonder about from time to time, and then suddenly an open door to ask what's really happening pops up is simply too undeniable.

Definitely without. I don't do preggers, gay or otherwise.

Hey, just wondering as I've been kinda looking for new stuff lately, and I know you're delightfully pretty active on LJ. Are there any other active comms you might be able to recommend? I've been doing land comms mostly for the last couple of years, but I'm kinda pooped out on 'em and looking for something with more writing, preferably without a word limit. Just thought I'd ask; I've got the same question for you and one other mod I know.

Are there any other active comms you might be able to recommend? Do you just mean Smallville? Because in SV, the only other active writing contest is the Big Bang, and that definitely has a word limit. There are also multi-fandom contests out there, but they usually have word limits, too. Or were you looking for other fandoms? I know a few others, if that's the case - just let me know.

Oh, FINALLY!!! =) I've been looking for a while now, and you're the first who might be able to rec something new to get my juices flowing. :-) It's not a minimum word count that scares me off, as far as the Big Bangs are concerned; it's more like the drabble comms where they cut you off at 250 and below.

I've got a lot of different fandoms in which I'm interested, so please anything you know that's active and doesn't cut off the writers at 250 words or below, here or elsewhere, please rec!!

I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you, but have had no computer time in days. Even now I don't have long, so will have to give links later. I'm glad someone else responded, though. I had just found out about the SV Sunken Ships one mentioned myself, and was going to be my top rec.

Correct me if I'm wrong - you aren't into the kinky/porny side of things. If not, that would drop several of the multi-fandom ones I know. I just don't want to waste your time. I'll try to get back to you later this weekend, at some point.

Yeah, I'm not really into the porn areas. Don't worry about the belated reply. I totally get the lack of computer time. I just got off work at five this morning and have to be back in about an hour. (Ugh.) But I'm still looking forward to your response and to hopefully getting some new areas to inspire more stories. :-)

I've signed up to the Sunken Ships one. Although Smallville is nowhere near my only fandom, the boys remain one of my all time favorite ships.

I'm more about the porn and kink, so that will cut out a good chunk of the contests I could have recommended, and we don't share fandoms other than SV, so the ones I'm big in such as SpN and White Collar wouldn't help you, either. Also, a couple I was going to recommend, when I went to get the link to copy, your name was already on them, so it looks as though I won't be as much of a help as I was hoping to. However, here are a couple:

Smallville Big Bang - this is getting started again soon. Somewhere around the end of May.

Hurt/Comfort Bingo - This has a main bingo challenge, as many bingos do, but what's nice about this one, is that they also do monthly mini-challenges, after the main event is over.

I may have already replied to this one. I'm not sure, but I noticed it was still sitting in my inbox. Thanks for the recs! I've already started with the H/C Bingo and will be checking out the Smallville Big Bang in a moment, although one complaint I've got with most bang comms I've noticed is the requirement of having a beta. I want my fic good, don't get me wrong, but the only time I've ever tried a beta outside of myself or my partner, who no longer has time for doing it, did NOT work out well. But I'll be giving it a looksee.

I've also seriously been pulled back into SPN with this latest season! So if you have something to rec there, I may well be interested. :-)
