Martha leaned against her kitchen sink and watched Jonathon working out in the fields, worrying that he was working himself too hard with Clark ... in Gotham. Her boys... her poor boys - Jon, Clark, and now... Lex. There was no point in denying it, in her heart, the minute he'd shown his love for Clark, he'd become her boy as well. Not quite a son

Martha assured him that they would contact the manor again soon, she needed to do a few more things yet. She said that she and her husband had done everything they could to insure that they were travelling incognito.
"We even got new clothes because I was afraid that Lionel may have planted a 'bug' on me. I am becoming paranoid, but with technology these days, I figured we couldn't be to careful." Martha assured Alfred.
Alfred paled. After he got off the phone with Martha, he turned towards Bruce, "Master Bruce, I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but Mrs. Kent reminded me that we can't be too careful. We need to sweep the manor... especially the clothes worn in the past few days, we may not have been as diligent in our actions as we had thought we were."
Bruce and Lex both understood but Clark looked clueless but was quickly broght up to speed. Lex grimaced, "I am usually on top of things like this, but I..."
Bruce nodded, "Yes, me as well."
Bruce produced a scanner and and scanned himself first. He was clean. Clark was next and he was clean as well. However, Alfred, Dick, and Lex all found small listening devices on their clothing.
After placing the devices in a shielded box, Bruce turned, "That's it. I am going to trace those devices and then we are going to go on the offensive. I believe we will need all of our combined intellects as well as the Elder Kents. We will devise a plan of attack that will focus on multiple fronts. This is war!"
Lex took a deep breath, "You are absolutely right. We were blindsided and have allowed ourselves to only think like victims, instead we will plan like....
