People say the same thing to me sometimes about my accent, and I never think that I have one. Usually pretty much everyone who doesn't have either a southern, Jersey, Long Island, or Boston accent sounds pretty much the same to me.
Heh, sometimes I pronounce the S in Illinois just for the hell of it because I like the way "Ill-in-oyS" sounds :p
And I'd offer to read your fic but I have to go to bed 'cause I have stupid work in the morning. But taking a break from difficult fic is a good idea, and yay for new fic! Even though I haven't been able to read much lately.
See, I can tell the major accents like the ones listed but aside from that I think it's pretty... Mundane. I can hear Ferry's accent a mile away with earplugs but that's just because being from Chicago we're almost trained to listen for the Cheesehead Twang so we know who to laugh at walking down the street.
The S in Illinois thing is something that tends to only bug you if you live there, mainly because everyone not in the state pronounces it one way and everyone in it pronouces it right.
And I get the bed thing and the lack of reading thing too. No worries about the fic, get sleep and get through work. :P
They already did. Twice. Zombie!Sammy died and is still a zombie and I'm starting to get frustrated with this whole "People don't wanna save random zombies" thing.
Yeah, they're all asses. Sometimes it can be days and days until someone comes along and revives you.
With my Jag character, I set out to find you, but I realized I had no revivification syringes left, so I had to search for one first. By the time I finally found one, I only had a few AP left, so I had to stop somewhere and log out. But I will get to you tomorrow! We'll communicate and I'll have you get to a spot where there are no other zombies around so that I can be sure it's you, and then I'll revive you!
And Fernie's so lost without his Sammy. They will be together again soon!
You ever watch a kid's program called Storylords? It's way old now and is played on PBS sometimes. And I have no idea why it popped into my head after thinking about Sammy and Fernie. Odd.
I've never seen Storylords but I have seen Wishbone and now I'm suddenly imagineing a Jack Russel Terrier running around Urban Dead pretending to be a person.
And now I've got "He's not a man just a Chicken-Boo!" running through my head.
