"So, what've we got so far?" Dean asked, opening the Impala's trunk.
"Vampires -- more than I've ever heard of in one place -- what looks like a couple of hauntings, and I think someone said something about an invisible girl and some hyena possessions over at the high school?"
"Hyenas? Jesus, Sam, why the hell don't these people move? What kind of show is this? Okay, I'm thinking first priority is those witches we saw working the graveyard -- "
"And I'm thinking that's a supremely bad idea if you're attached to, I don't know, your limbs," came a new voice, and they both jumped about a mile as someone dropped from the rooftop above them down to where they stood. "Hi!" she said cheerfully, and slammed the trunk closed. "Rumor mill is that you guys are the new troublemakers in town."
"Dean?" Sam asked, quietly, so as not to set her off.
"Yeah, Sam?"
"I think I just figured out what show this is."
The girl still hadn't moved from where she stood, though she was playing with her gigantic freaking sword in a way that made Dean more than a little nervous, especially now that she stood between them and their guns. "Cutie's a superhero, isn't she?" he muttered, hoping she might not hear.
"Aww, that's sweet," she said. "Yeah, totally. She also doesn't know what the girls you usually hang with are like, but she doesn't like being talked about like she's not here."
"Sure," Dean said, and spread his -- empty, thanks to her -- hands wide, kicked Sam's ankle so that he'd follow his lead. "Right, of course."
And then he flashed his winningest smile, because hey -- she was cute. And these kind of shows usually had the chick going for the bad boys, right? Whole dramatic tension thing.
She also doesn't know what the girls you usually hang with are like, but she doesn't like being talked about like she's not here. OK, that line was so perfect it was creepy! You need to continue this. Like, seriously! I can only imagine what Spike would think of Dean. And, God, once Dean found out about Willow and Tara... And poor Giles, can you imagine?
