Ok, so the last two days were freakin great. I remember last summer wasn't the greatest but August came along and COMPLETELY turned things around, and its looking that way for this summer too, because so far this month has been great. Got talked into going to the sad old man bar at my old hometown last night, and it actually wasn't TOO bad. I sang some karaoke, and hung out with some people I hadn't seen in a while, Rachel, John, Rick, big Chad, Nick, and Brian...well I hang out with him all the time, but still. I had a good time making fun of the morons singing karaoke and watching Chad get more and more drunk. I always have fun singing karaoke, I usually pick the mean songs that I can yell a bunch during and it makes me feel better. John was impressed because everyone else just went up and stood there, whereas I was rocking out and headbanging and stuff. It was good times.
Today I mowed my grandparents lawn which is now a weekly thing, and its good because that means I get to see them more often. I swear to god my grandma is probably the nicest person on the whole planet, she never lets me go without and even when it doesn't bother me that I dont have any money (which is often this summer), she REFUSES to let me leave the house without like 10 bucks in my hands. And dude, mowing the lawn, that is NO JOKE. Thats alot of freakin work dude! My grandpa shouldn't have been doing that five years ago, let alone now, but thank god I m hopefully helping to preserve his health by doing it for them now at least.
I commented in my new (and completely awesome) friend Lin's journal so much that I started using paragraphs when I talk about something else. Isn't that cool? Now you people dont have to squint your eyes when you read this stuff. I mostly just wanted to mention how cool Lin is somewhere in this post, so now that thats accomplished, on to the next topic.
Tonight I saw Miles Beyond for what HAD to have been about the 15th or 16th time, and it was awesome as usual, but it was great hanging out with Dave, Kim, John (twice in one weekend, and I have nt seen him since Christmas), Chad, Brian, Natalee, Paul, and LAUREN, WHO I MISSED SO MUCH AND IS SO GREAT. SHE EVEN BOUGHT ME A BIG BAG OF TAFFY WHICH OFFICIALY MAKES HER THE COOLEST PERSON THIS WEEKEND. I LOVE Taffy. To quote family guy "Man I love taffy. And trust me, I m a man who Loooooooooves his taffy". SHE BOUGHT ME A POUND AND A HALF OF IT TOO. I WOULD HAVE KISSED HER ON THE SPOT FOR LIKE FIVE MINUTES IF SHE D HAVE LET ME. I would probably even kiss a GUY if he bought my taffy. MAN I love taffy. Anyways, so that was an awesome time just sitting around talking with them, and Lauren heard a bunch of stories from my childhood and I hope she wasn't bored cuz she doesn't really know all my friends, but it was awesome nonetheless. And dammit, I like Kim, I think shes cool. We've become better friends lately I think and thats cool, shes a sweet girl.
I think thats all I got for now. Going to GIGANTOUR on wednesday to make up for missing Ozzfest, and that should be great fun, but what is most important is, I M GOING TO SEE HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE TOMORROW. Since most of the people who read this (except Lin, cuz shes awesome. Wait...I said that already, didn't I?) are scratching their heads and saying "Eh? what the heck is THAT? Alright, Jasons lost his mind, hes talking about moving castles. Hes flipped". Its an anime by none other than HAYAO FREAKIN MIYAZAKI. MIYAZAKI DUDE. THE GENIUS MASTERMIND OF JAPANESE ANIME. Most people will understand this reference: He is to anime, what Shigeru Miyamoto is to video games/nintendo. ALL of his movies are fucking mindblowingly amazing. Howl's Moving Castle will be NO exception, and I can't WAIT to see it. And with that, I m going to buy a new copy of Final Fantasy VII, because the one I have is really scratched, and thats next on the agenda after Final Fantasy IX, which is now my second favorite Final Fantasy (nothing will beat the opera scene from III though).
