I'm a Yank from Denver, Colorado which is about in the center of this sprawling country. My grand experience of England consists of two trips over there (1984 & 1990), along with a lifelong case of Anglophilia. I probably couldn't pull off the dialogue as well now -- at the time I wrote this, I was spending as much time as I could afford at Dr Who conventions listening to those charming British actors, as well as watching every episode over and over again and studying all of the books I could get my hands on to absorb the speech patterns and the idioms. (Not to mention watching every scene with Harry in in three times just for the fun of it. I do love that character, and I did truly enjoy watching Ian in action, for as long as we had him. Sweet man too, and not nearly as diffident.) I'd have to brush up again!
Do you write, sir? Would be curious to see anything you've done, with particular interest in Harry. Love the pics you have on your LJ comments, though I can't identify all of the interesting six. And would you care to see more, sir, she asks, lowering a corner of the veil in an enticing and flirtatious fashion? I'm writing original fiction now but have several stories from my fan days out here on LJ.
