Travel is ruff for dogs too

When I travel more than an hour or two, I end up feeling kind of tired. I'm not sure why that is, but it's true. We came back from Michigan today, and I see it has affected Ms. Carly. I'm tearing down my drums and loading the car tonight so I can be ready for my recording session tomorrow morning without having to do all this crap right before. Carly has taken to sleeping here in the office/studio room while I work and practice at night, and usually she's reasonably peaceful unless I get up and start moving stuff around. Then she looks at me witheringly, wondering why I dare disturb her slumber. The answer is: if I leave her out in the rest of the apartment, she is likely to disturb stargazzy from her slumber, and that is not acceptable to me.

Anyway, tonight, after a three-hour drive following a couple days of very careful squirrel monitoring in Michigan, she's apparently pooped. The drums just don't faze her. I'm sure if I played them, it'd be a different story, but she's Placido The Dingo right now.

Well, except now she's started a Twitchy Dream™. But never mind that.
