what a blessing it is that these livejournal posts are still just sitting here, ready to be read and reviewed. i feel simultaneously so different and so similar to the beautiful and troubled boy in these posts. when i read thru all the snarky, angry, mean-to-be-funny, and other various posts pushing odd ideas, i feel at once proud of the confidence i put forward here in these posts, the limb i went out on to be bold and just be real about what i was thinking, and yet saddened by how much it seems, in retrospect, to be a clear sign of some serious self-hatred, confusion, frustration, and desperation. all the same, it's so amazing being able to look back on these times. i still find the old me funny.
