Doctor Who developments...
So, I watched both parts of End of Time a couple days ago. I've gotta say, I really, really love and adore John Simm, but I wasn't a huge fan of the Master's evil plot this time. The storyline itself was... I dunno. Definitely not my favourite one ever. Maybe I'm just prejudiced against RTD since Children of Earth, I dunno, but I didn't really like the story itself of End of Time.
That said:
-While I did not get what the fuck was going on with the magic and shit that brought him back, I really enjoyed seeing John Simm again. Especially the end of Part 2, at the "get out of the way" part between him and David. *wibble* I wuv my Master.
-Finding out what happened to Lucy was nice. I always liked Lucy.
-Yay! Wilf, yay! But him being the "four knocks" thing in the end broke my heart, honest to God.
-Naismith was the worst Who villain ever. I mean, was he even necessary to the story?
-Donna being there and getting married in the end was made of win.
-The cactus-people were kinda cool
-I still don't understand who the fuck the woman/Time Lord lady was who was talking to Wilf. Can anyone enlighten me please?
-The montage of companions before the... regeneration... was nice, I suppose. I always like seeing Rose and Jackie and Sarah Jane and Jack (though, honestly, shoving Alonso--who I actually liked--at him right after Ianto dies? That made me bitter and unhappy. Are you TRYING to make me hate Alonso, RTD?). But I gotta say: Martha and Mickey got married? WTF? I thought she was engaged to that Mulligan doctor person from Last of the Time Lords? Did I miss something? Or is it just the typical black-people-can-only-really-hook-up-with-other-black-people-on-TV BS you see everywhere else on TV?

I actually kinda like Matt Smith so far. I cried when David Tennant started regenerating. But 11 doing physical inventory and making a face when he gets to his nose--"I've had worse"--was cute. So I'm... hopeful. Also, I'm still just barely fighting off the urge to fly to the UK and come after RTD with something sharp and rusty, so I suppose I can adjust to the change.
