Children of Earth: Day Two
This episode was made completely from epic awesome, seriously.
I can't even articulate everything I love and squee'd about today, so I think I'm just going to point form some random thoughts. Ahem!:
-The first ten minutes = OMG. Best suspense sequence ever. I was just bouncing, screaming, "Run Gwen, run! Run like the wind, Ianto, don't let them shoot you! Rhys, you must get dressed faster! HURRRRRYYYYRUUNNN!!!"
-PC ANDY *swoons* and every single thing he said:
"Shouldn't there be some sort of briefing first? Like, a risk assessment?" and also his face when he asks, "What kind of terrorist shoots your wheels?"
-Ianto and Gwen utterly failing at coming up with a meeting place w/o actually having to say the name of a place. Also: I love the fact that Ianto gets ice cream headaches. ^___^
-Ianto's family is even more awesome tonight. Johnny doing the "we're the only family he's got"-hug was the sweetest thing ever, omg. Also, my wibbling when they make you think that Ianto's dad was mean and broke his leg, only to find out that it happened because Ianto had a dad who actually cared enough to take him to the park and push him on swings. OMG, love. And Johnny and the estate-mob surrounding the gov't car so Rhiannon could sneak away? The Jones-Davies clan and their neighbours all completely win at life (Even if I still disapprove of the nephew actually being named David Davies. I mean, honestly)
-Frobisher's wife mentioning "Brian and Wendy's kids and they live in Canada!" Win! (also "We want a pony." That was great)
-There wasn't enough Clem or Alice today. And I'm still not sure whether I like or detest Louise. Gimme another day or so. And the PM is made of suck. I miss the days when Harriet Jones and Harold Saxon were the PM. *pout*
-Ianto watching from a nearby rooftop as they pulled bits of Jack out of the rubble and/or when he saw the concrete pouring into the cell. My heart just shattered at the look on his face at those moments. Poor boy.
-Rhys and Gwen and everthing about them was just awesome and adorable
-Jack... Honestly? Ewwww. Opposite-dissolving!Jack was icky, I'm sorry.
-Ianto's epic rescue of epic-ness was Epic. Yeah.
-The preview for tomorrow was sort of crummy, so far as previews go. They must know there is no way we're going to stop watching at this point, b/c it showed a grand total of nothing. Except maybe the PM being an ass, which seems to increase my like of Frobisher. Like everytime the PM says ANYTHING, my Frobisher scoreboard goes up two points b/c the PM apparently can't say anything that DOESN'T make him sound like a total douche. Blah. Also, though, I kinda like the shot of Alice with her gun. Like father, like daughter, huzzah.
