My spoiler-lite reaction post to 4x01
I loved it. Absolutely funny and delightful, but sad where it needed to be. I'm very glad that they jumped right in with actual character development this time instead of ignoring everything that's happened that past three seasons save for brief mentions.
Donna was great. I think she's going to be an excellent companion for the Doctor. I'm also very proud of him for finally doing something about his apparently irresistible alien pheromones and saying something before he whisks some woman off.
As for that one spoiler .. . I was shocked they pulled that off so soon. My roommate was somewhat disappointed, but I think it's wonderful. I think I'd hate it a little bit if they slapped this individual into the storyline suddenly with no background or development, but I'm kind of a little bit in love with what they did and intrigued by how they did it.
Good job Russell. I don't want to pull your head off.
