Everyone does well for the effort they put in.
Maybe we can write the ideas on blood on our bodies and take pictures.
"I need to give myself tunnel vision for a while. I don't want to see anything but nothing important. I feel like squeezing a glass in my hand until it cuts me."
But then what will you do later, when all you have is a bloody unusable hand?
"Maybe by then I'll be dead. You can't live in the future. Just deal with the now."
You're not really dealing with the now by squeezing that glass.
If someone were to try to murder you right now, would you let them?
"Maybe. Probably."
"I've lost my faith in mankind."
Why does your faith in mankind have any bearing on whether or not you decide to live? What did mankind do?
"No person is genuinely good. Everyone is selfish, manipulative, and dishonest."
Are you not?
"I am. I'm just one of the few who is aware of this."
If you are selfish, manipulative, and dishonest, and so is everyone else, and your desire isn't to change yourself, what's so bad about anyone being selfish, manipulative, and dishonest?
"What makes most people happy? Food? Nice things for your house? Money? Power? Knowing that they're going to Heaven because they ring the bell at Christmas time?"
What makes you happy? The real question here is how you feel about yourself, regardless of others.
"We aren't individuals. We are just one fucked up earth."
But we act independently.
"You think we do, but we don't."
If you don't act independently, then what's the point of trying to do something that nobody else is doing?
"What have you ever done that nobody else is doing?"
Thoughts of a destructive nature combined with negative feelings about society and life in general are all motivated by a basic feeling of rebellion or revolution and change. And this discourse. This is something nobody has ever done.
"Anything that is possible for you to do was fashioned by someone else before you and therefore it was meant to be done."
"Does it matter if I die now, or if I die in 50 years instead? Not really."
You will know more if you die later.
You don't have to live on a prayer but you don't have to run with the devil either.
