Our heros find themselves in what might be a lush, forest-like area. A quick look about will tell them that they're not in Kansas anymore - although their feet are remaining firmly planted on the ground, they are sensing something pulling them upwards. Like, you know, maybe gravity. There is a dim red sun above them at high noon in the night sky

"..cking... oh. Great. We're on an alien world. This almost reminds me of the time I spent on the Beyonder's planet."
He glances around, waiting for Caleb to arrive.

"Where the hell are we? Lowered gravity... hm." This is not the first time Caleb has dealt with such a thing, but that does not mean he likes it. Especially when not in a 'mech. He feels -naked- when not in the Nexus and not in a 'mech.
"Well... looks like we head towards those buildings there." With a shrug, he starts towards them, one hand on the vibrosword at all times.

Fortunately, they don't look openly hostile and a lot of them seem to be children. A few of the stronger and older beings may creep up to investigate the travelers if they approach too closely.

"Do we even know what we are looking for? I mean, Rei could be in at least three different forms now. We ask them about Li, quiaff?"

As they enter the village, it becomes clear that there are no werewolf battles taking place here. If Li is present, though, he's not running out to greet them just yet.
"Locals..." the doctor observes. "I don't know if we'll be able to communicate with them, but we may as well. Right now, recovering Li is the most important part. Did you want to try? You look more approachable..."

The being (which might, for all you know, be the leader of this clan) looks at Ock and Caleb like, O.o
And then it tries to say something in a commanding voice. It is, of course, higher-pitched than most humans' but from the tone it seems that it might be saying something like, 'Halt! Who goes there!' or whatever. But you do not understand. There are clicks involved, as well as sproinging noises.

And then he glances over at Otto helplessly. "Um. Uh. We... come in peace?" It's a start, isn't it? Really?

"PEAS~!" \o/
The village cheers. Caleb, who knows what you just said?

"Em... yes. Peace. We are looking for a young man, about this size," he explains, gesturing with his hand, "and with dark hair. He may have been taken here by a pale girl."

He hasn't done anything harmful yet, but Caleb does look nervous, worried, and unhappy. Today sucks. ._

He tests the earth under his feet, notes the surroundings and the general way the gravity feels different than what he's used to, and takes a few deep breaths to test the amount and consistency of oxygen available. A lack of oxygen didn't effect him to any large degree, he couldn't exactly die, but those he was traveling with might find not breathing a little...uncomfortable?
He waits until the rest of his traveling party arrives before picking up the obvious trail left by (he assumes) Caleb and Otto - heading in the general direction of the crude village on the clearly alien planet. Though he's looking like he's seen better days, Captain Harkness is suddenly in his element. He lives for this kind ( ... )

...somewhat. Man, this place looks crazy. At least the last time he went offworld, it seemed normal. This place? Not so much.
He follows Jack. "This place... it's pretty weird, isn't it?"

Things like that.
"I believe that is an understatement." Idle comment to Phoenix as they walk along.

They mutter amongst themselves in their strange language, theories being passed around as to what the giants are looking for. Another, smaller giant, perhaps? Certainly no one in this village is that tall. The beings are shaking their heads and generally attempting to communicate, 'sorry, your princess is in another castle' when they see.... MORE GIANTS.
OHNOES, COULD IT BE AN INVADING ARMY? The big-eyed monkey-things are confused and disturbed! :O

"Ah! Mr. Harkness... I see that you and the others were able to find your way here. We've had no luck, and I'm not sure if the locals understood our attempts at communication."
