I'm Back!
As you can see, we finally got around to getting the internet sorted and I've spent the last week catching up with fanfiction and getting through my backlog of emails. I got an amazing deal with TalkTalk who have given me line rental, free evening and weekend calls and unlimited internet all for £18.99 a month which is a complete bargain when you compare to BT who wanted to charge me £27. I've managed to fix the internet up to my laptop using the wireless router that TalkTalk sent, however it doesn't seem to want to work on the PC. After playing about with it, it seems there is a V9 connection unplugged, but I have no idea what this is or how to fix it!
With the internet fixed up, we've nearly finished settling into the new flat. When we moved in the toilet seat was completly broken and the tv arial in the living room wasn't working. After repeated calls to the landlord, and numerous reassurances that they'd ring us back, the flatmate got to the end of her teather and rang the landlord and gave them hell! She properly shouted at them down the phone, and two hours later they were round to fix things. It just shows that shouting, or taking no nonesense actually works!
So now, all we need fixing is the intercom which has only worked once since we've been here. Somebody from the management company should be getting in touch with us soon, and then hopfully we shall have no further problems!
