So today I applied for a *proper* job. By which I mean one that isn't in a shop. Shock and horror. I haven't had a job that wasn't in as shop for nearly five years. I have realised this by digging out my CV, which says so. Charter Consultant Architects, April-May 2004. Doesn't seem that long ago, and was a really nice job, with its only drawbacks being that it was only for two weeks, and in Bedford (lived with my mum for a bit while I did that one). I feel so old!
Anyway, looked it up on the internets and it's a nice company that basically seems to exist to be nice to people, which would be a Very Good change from M&S. Also looked it up on googlemaps. It's in the science park, which is good because it's easy to get to, but also bad because I always get lost when I try to find things in the science park. Interview on Wednesday, says the very nice lady on the phone. Guess I'd better make sure I know which building it is before then.
Now just hoping I can make larp sound good in an interview, since it's my only excuse for claiming I can be organised and work to deadlines and keep accurate records and use spreadsheets and stuff. Damn, larp would be so employable if only more people knew what it actually involved... I'm sticking to "a society on campus" for application forms, cause then I don't need to explain it.
