(no subject)
So I finally gave in and joined ohnotheydidnt for my celebrity gossip. I feel like such a whore.
I've also downloaded The Smashing Pumpkins' "Siamese Dream" and "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" (their two highest rated albums according to Wikipedia). I decided to download them because I heard that some of the band's early work influenced the production of "Nevermind", a lot of people seem to really like them, and there has also been a lot of buzz about the semi-reunion for the new album they have coming out (semi because they're missing their main guitarist and bassist). I've been listening to "Siamese Dream" all day and I have to say it's pretty damn good, I especially like "Cherub Rock", "Today", and "Disarm". However I don't think I like them as much as I like Nirvana or The Beatles, but I suppose thats a given since those are my two favorite bands. Besides, Cobain and Lennon are dead but Corgan is still writing new songs (although I don't know how good said new songs are).
