Monkeying around...

Strangely enough, demon-possessed baboons did not overthrow the Vatican in 1998, led by a large demonic crystal... so I guess the dollar bill was misleading... http://www.austinchronicle.com/issues/vol16/issue23/pols.media.html

Ah, society.
Such a lovely word... makes an individual feel like a part of a larger group with similar interests.  Those interests seem to be either a) religious b) political c) monetary d) emotional or e) a phenomena I like to call religipolitimonemotional.  Normally I try not to get too political or religious with people unless they bring it up first - somehow I feel that their prerogative is their own and, well, I don't really care enough about it to try to change them.  Unfortunately, watching the news last night (something I try to avoid doing) made me shudder...

Apparently, a 9-year-old girl was kicked out of her religious school because of a senior prank her older sister had participated in.  Her mother, a teacher at the school who may have known about the prank and done nothing to stop it, was fired as well - which could be seen as a form of neglect, so I'm not going to press that issue.  But, the 9-year-old being forced to leave the school, where she was just about to finish whatever grade nine-year-olds are in?  Come on... give me a break.

Ah, but I digress... the point of this post was to show how the agendas that people have get in the way of their religion and cause them to act in ways that are detrimental to their belief systems...
Closing the interview, the mother said "And Jesus said, 'Whatever you do even unto the least of men, you do unto Me' - and they drove a knife into my daughter's heart and twisted it, so I guess they're doing that to Jesus".  My jaw dropped.  I don't even know where to begin with this, so I won't.

I'm not a religious person, and, as said in the past, if you ask me what I believe I'll simply say that God and I have an agreement, probably with a sardonic smile on my face.  This is the type of behaviour that drove me from my spritual beliefs about six years ago for some reason it still surprises me today every time I see it.  I wish people would keep their religipolitimonemotional feelings to themselves, but alas, I can't really expect others to do what I can't always do myself... so here's to us, people of Society.  (everyone drink up)

Anyway, that's enough for my post today, gotta get back to animating the thing with the guy that doesn't work right.

Cheers!
