My stepfather quit (cold turkey) after 36 years. He did so about a month before I graduated high school.

He's still around and other than the occasional argument with his emphysema, he's doing fine.

The best thing you can do is to keep a picture of said little fairiechild. Keep it close to you. Paste a small version onto your lighter.

You can do it.
