A few things:

I did, in fact, post Breaking Dawn in Fifteen Minutes, and "A Scene That Must Have Happened" was the running-gag not-gimmick I was referring to earlier. (Y'all, I'm just saying: I completely believe that all of those things must have happened. For some reason, this book/movie was filled with a ton of Fridge Logic moments.) I am very ( Read more... )

Piecaken seems kind of eh. Pie crust would get soggy too fast. And then there's not enough delicious cake, given that the pie is taking up all the space. I'd ask Sister Girl to make two separate pastries.

I say this like I'm next door, coming over, and/or have any personal stake in the outcome. Just ignore me, it's the gravy coma talking.

I'm with you. Pie is not my thing.

Breaking Dawn m15m, however, was absolutely brilliant.

Hahaa. Me, I really love Honeycrisp apples, but I saw at Whole Foods that they've come out with Honeycrisp apple cider, and I feel like they're just trying to capitalize on Honeycrisp's popularity rather than using it because it's specifically good for that purpose. The "crisp" part wouldn't really translate well to cider.

I had some Honeycrisp cider yesterday, and I can confirm that it is both damn good and really does taste like Honeycrisps. Because I am a hedonist, I made spiced cider out of it and then spiked it with rum.

YUM. I also made an apple crisp yesterday, and used Honeycrisps to do so. They just have the best apple flavor of all apples, so although they're expensive, they're so much better than all the other apples.
