Okay. Secret Life. The entry coding is done, but I am still working on pictures, because honestly, some of these are hard to set up (and still look believable), and I'm having to choose just two or three of the simpler ones to pull off. However, at least one of the pictures is unspeakably epic and I think you will enjoy it.

Meanwhile, the read-Read more... )

let me tell you internets, dolls, twilight, my life is so hard omg, tonner

The doll entries bring me so much glee--at first, I was constantly going "Wait, what? Who?" and then I just started reading them, and giggling endlessly, and before you knew it I was trying to convert my entire flist. Mind you, it didn't work, but I blame that on my poor advertising. :-)

I skipped the doll entries the first few times I came across them, but then was bored one day and thought, "Hey, why not?" and a read a post. Then I got hooked and anxiously awaited each one.

God help me if they came out when I was at work though, because then I had to sneak-read them while trying to stifle my giggles.

Can't wait for the new episodes!

All I can say is when you start developing crushes on dolls based on characters you hate in a series you despise, you know the writing is amazing. So yes, newbies, you must read SLOD.

I skimmed over the doll entries at first because I wasn't sure where you were going with them, but it really is this epic serial like the great Victorian writers used to do. The dolls have developed their own characters, so even people who aren't into the particular stories the dolls come from (like Twilight or Lord of the Rings) will find a lot to enjoy here. It is just so funny and likable and strangely riveting.
