Re: Facebook: As if I need another reason to hate Facebook beyond its privacy issues. And honestly (and I know it sounds terrible) it was only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Yes! If Facebook's privacy issues hadn't prevented me from getting a page, that episode certainly would have. /paranoia

I just went through and, in addition to turning off Places, set loads of things to friends or myself only.

I've been trying to get my mom and brother to reset a bunch of their privacy settings. I even gave my mother the Time issue that had Facebook/privacy concerns...and nothing. Maybe I'll email her the hit list article...
