So, a few things--mostly Twilight-related, now that I think about it. Sorry in advance for that.

I'm still working on the Eclipse thing (eh, we can speak of it. We've all known for months, if not since November 2008, that I would be doing it). For some reason, I pretty much had a mild nervous breakdown trying to do the New Moon one, and for some ( Read more... )

Also-also: This trailer chagrins me. But then, I want the Epic Movie people shot into the sun anyway, so.
I know there must be some people, somewhere, that enjoy these movies. BUT WHO ARE THEY? Seriously, I do wonder how on earth there is the money to keep making these movies, and what on earth makes studio execs think it's a good idea to make them?

They actually make something like $80 million each worldwide, was the number I saw today. And they cost maybe $20 million to make. And this one, people who hate Twilight'll go see it, and people who love it'll probably see it too. It's not a bad move at all financially. I just deeply resent that I'll have to see commercials for this when, as a friend pointed out, there are a hundred better parodies on YouTube.

Wow, ok, that makes a lot of financial sense. I just...I don't think I could watch these movies and honestly enjoy them. But everyone is different!

If it's the same people who do the Scary Movies, then my 58 year old dad. He never misses them on tv.

Actually, I think at least the first couple of Scary Movies were different people. These are the Date Movie/Epic Movie people.

Seltzer and Friedberg did in fact, technically write a draft of the first movie, and as success has many fathers, Fox figured it couldn't hurt to approach them with a turkey-baster.
