Since edda was talking about her dreams... mine really annoy me, because I never have particularly satisfying dreams. They're always questing in some way, looking for something or running away for something. I can't just have interesting dreams the way I did when I was younger. I've had the vague looking-for-something dreams a lot, and having something actually happen is a fairly new development.

The thing that grabs me first is actually the garden: maybe that's the internet? You're hanging out in cyberspace away from greater cares, mingling and having a good time. (I may be projecting just a tad here, hmmm?) Or maybe the people in your dreams are characters from your fiction, and the garden represents the writing you do to please yourself ( ... )

Heh. The whole perils of adulthood thing was pretty much how I had pegged it. When you take into account that I'm living at home to save money while I'm in grad school--I'll probably end up going for my PhD in a city a couple of hours away, so I'll be on my own--the whole "living in someone else's nicely furnished house, looking for *my* room" thing starts to look absolutely transparent. Like, my dreams aren't even trying, yo ( ... )
