I've had the vague looking-for-something dreams a lot, and having something actually happen is a fairly new development.

The thing that grabs me first is actually the garden: maybe that's the internet? You're hanging out in cyberspace away from greater cares, mingling and having a good time. (I may be projecting just a tad here, hmmm?) Or maybe the people in your dreams are characters from your fiction, and the garden represents the writing you do to please yourself

Heh. The whole perils of adulthood thing was pretty much how I had pegged it. When you take into account that I'm living at home to save money while I'm in grad school--I'll probably end up going for my PhD in a city a couple of hours away, so I'll be on my own--the whole "living in someone else's nicely furnished house, looking for *my* room" thing starts to look absolutely transparent.
