I'm honestly not sure Firefly coming back would be a good idea. Sure, it would be amazing, but there was a secret at F!S yesterday that really got me thinking.

Plus, no Wash, little point.

Basically, that Firefly would have become as depressing as Buffy. It did get so sad before the end, I'm amazed I hadn't seen something like it before.

Joss kills the happiest potential couple. That is not news. :(

I'm still a little bitter/not surprised at how Fred/Wes went down.

Back when Serenity first came out, he did a mass interview with fans. One person asked if he'd torture Simon and Kaylee the way he did all is other couples.

His answer? "They're young they're in love, they're happy, they're doomed."

No kidding. What gets into TV writers, anyway? He's hardly the only one. Is happiness really such a terrible thing?

(See my avatar for answer to that question. ;-) )

And that is why I prefer my happy place where they ended up moving to some outer planet and Simon opened up a clinic and Kaylee worked on mechanical-type stuff, and they had a family with visits from the rest of the crew and everyone was happy, and they both eventually died of old age. I REJECT YOUR CANON AND SUBSTITUTE MY OWN!

I can live with that scenario.

Don't forget the wacky aunt that tells the kids stories that make mum and dad (particularly dad, I'd guess) go "....... ummm". :p

(... except I forgot about her becoming Serenity's pilot in the movie. Hmmm...)

*Obviously* this is what happened. And Zoe and Wash lived happily ever after.

What?

Hasn't he tortured them enough already? They had an ENTIRE season of unrequited angst.
