Think of it as a palate cleanser

Nothing could live up to the previous installment, so I'm not even going to try. Instead, I'll just catch you up on what happened before The Littlest Bella arrived:

What IS the evolutionary advantage of the pompadour? )

dolls, twilight, the secret life of dolls, my little pony, sparkle motion, his dark materials, lord of the rings

I can't deal with everyone at once. We'll see her in a bit.

she and Legolas are great archers.. Faramir 2 could make two bows.
Anyway, looking forward for even more hilarity of SLOD.

I love the way you keep so many plotlines going, with such a big cast. The pacing is brilliant. I mean, I'm curious about Serafina too, and for the return of the fugitives, and... but that's just it: I'm hooked on ALL of them.

Also, awwwwwwwww Legolas.

The real difficulty for me is not running headlong into a storyline and focusing on it completely at the expense of everyone else. Like Eowyn/Faramir, TLE/ponies, TLB arriving, etc. I already feel bad that Helm's Deep Aragorn has never really gotten any screentime. And it's another reason why it's kind of a relief to have Anna and Lizzie off on their own for a while--and logically, you don't want them around when a Bella arrives anyway.

(This is also why I asked people not to get creative and send me random dolls just to see what I would do with them. I have a hard enough time managing everyone as it is. I almost think that anyone new from here on out would just be a minor background character.)

I can see why handling so many storylines must be difficult, but I've loved how you've done it - giving dolls supporting as well as spotlight time, setting big plot lines in motion, foreshadowing. Helm's Deep Aragorn may not have had the spotlight, but his reactions to everybody else have quietly built up his identity. I'm thinking of several arrival scenes, and of course the Roll Of Felt conversation. Lovely.

By the way, when I say I'm curious about Anna and Lizzie, I don't want them back a second before you, and the story, are ready for them! Same goes for all other developments. You work so hard on these, and so brilliantly, and I'd hate "I can't wait" enthusiasm to come across as ingratitude.

I'd say she's too busy flashing her underpants (or lack thereof) at TLE and making him flinch to have too much of a say about the whole thing. *snerk*
