So... I ended up going to bed really early last night with a headful of snerf. Also, yesterday was apparently Everybody Being Bitches Day, and I was tired. Thus, you get a late yesterday/early today linkspam now.

Charlie Hunnam better not be Thor. Sure, he's cute, but he couldn't act his way out of a box.

Yes, THIS, so long as it doesn't deter from his Eric-ness.

Seriously. I mean, he's tall, hot and Nordic. WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED BRANAGH?

I couldn't agree more. He was bad in Nicholas Nickleby and he's not much better in Sons of Anarchy. Though Ron Perlman and especially Katey Segal are so awesome that he has to try harder. But I don't think I want him in any film that I'm likely to see.

Oh, man, he was the title character in the 2002 Nicholas Nickleby? He was terrible!

(What's hilarious is that I initially recognised his name, not as the actor in Nicholas Nickleby, but as one of the actors Stephenie Meyer would have liked cast in the Twilight film--I don't remember for which role--because she thought he had been so good in NN! Hahahahaha! *sob*)

The only Charlie Hunnam films/TV series I've seen so far are QaF and Cold Mountain. I have to say after QaF I was pleasantly surrised with what he did in CM--even if 90% of the time he just brooded broodily around. It's disappointing to hear he's not very good at doing anything else. :(

However, the only reason I'm interested in Thor (don't know the source material yet, but shall!, I promise, pleasedon'tkillme) is Ken Branagh's attachment to it--and I've faith in him. If all else fails, it'll at least be visually stylish and - for those who care, and I do - filled with homoerotic subtext. if Sleuth is anything to go by, at least.
