*tiny scream*

Okay, much to my terror, I have, in fact, listed Eowyn (Not Eowyn) and the book, together, on eBay. The description is a little hard-ass, as a result of me being terrified that I'll somehow screw it up, and also, because I read this, and I am not looking forward to a hundred dumbass questions from the persistent eBay masses like " Does she have Read more... )

dolls, oh dramatize, business, m15m, m15m book, ebay, lord of the rings

If you're terrified of eBay, I always recommend using craigslist where you deal with people locally and payment comes in the form of cash. I've never had a bad experience and haven't heard of any horror stories about scams and nonpayment.

That, and isn't Craigslist free? Or at least super-cheap?

Actually, it's free. Unlike eBay where you may have a small charge to list your auction and another charge from paypal when you transfer the money to your back account.

The bidding is really crazy right now! I tried to bid and I was outbidded... three times! I think I am going to wait a little.

Wait, what? Seriously?

You know what it might be? I forget the term for it--you can put in a maximum bid, like, "I am willing to spend $50 on this," and it'll auto-bid for you until it goes over your limit. (And then you can put in a higher limit, if you want.) You get two or more people with maximum bids in there--hoooooo Lord, the numbers will make huge jumps within seconds.

Oh! That might be it.

I was the highest bidder for about... a minute. I felt important XD

Never, ever bid early on. It's pointless. :( And now a days unless you use a sniper you are not likely to win on popular items. Some people still rail against using a bidding program saying it is unfair but people are fanatical on Ebay and without using something you will rarely get what you want. On the popular items you need to use something ( ... )

Thank you for the eBay adventures link. I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time. It was so bad I had to stop eating dinner for fear of choking to death. (No sweet rolls were involved in my dinner.)

Good on you, hon. The description seems straight-forward enough; may you not received hundreds of dumbass Ebay questions. (Also? What is your reserve price? Because I kind of want to bid to help drive up the price for you, but I don't actually want to buy it.)

Aw, don't worry about driving up the price. I'm going to post about it on the m15m comm tomorrow; that'll probably work well enough.
