So my mother wised up and went to MedHelp first thing this morning to have her foot checked out; they ran whatever scans it is they run, and apparently she really did just pull a ligament pretty badly, but no broken bones. So she's got that going for her. She'd stay home (okay, no, she totally wouldn't), but she's got a bunch of meetings today, and ( Read more... )

I'm totally with you. My mom is a total "Bella" at times too, but does that mean she slows down? Shyeah right, whatever. If anything, she pushes herself even harder and then complains that she doesn't feel good or is tiiiired and I just have to shake my head. "Well gee, why do you think that is?"

It's like when we used to swim together and I'd splash her for fun and she'd go "Hey, you're getting me wet!" What, in a pool? How on earth does *that* happen? X3

Ah well, make the best of the situation, I guess.

Heh. See, the weird thing is, she's not the klutz--I am. I have actually been standing still and then lost my balance. She's so irritated with herself, but I think it's because she usually DOESN'T do things like this.

Ah, then the tables are turned! Enjoy it while it lasts.

My mom's a Physics professor with her head in the clouds about 45% of the time. So, yeah, there's that for her. *snerk*

I love that you can actually make a pop culture joke to/about your mother and that she gets it.

Well, I did take her to see the movie, which helps. The Macy's Rickrolling, now, that was totally lost on her.

Ugh. I hate heels. (Not to mention that tripple E fitting stiletos are hard to come by.)I'm lucky that I work in a casual office. If I had to wear actual shoes every day I think my feet would go on strike.
