Happy Thanksgiving!

So, what are we eating today?

(I don't actually know. I saw four pies downstairs, that's all I know. There might be a white chocolate cheesecake?)

ETA: EPIC NATIONAL RICKROLL. Man, the Macy's Parade got the man himself to do it. I don't think anyone can ever do it again. There will be no greater Rickroll.

Great stuff; I thought I was the only Tofurky roast here.

And the cranberries = simplicity:

1 cup whole fresh cranberries
rind of 1 orange (take off with peeler)
juice of 1 orange
1/4 cup sugar

Put all ingredients in food processor; whirl until chopped. Cranberry relish: double recipe as needed.

While we're at it, I'll share my cranberry relish recipe:

I bag cranberries, three small oranges, three small apples: chop roughly in food processor and add a small amount of sugar - just enough to keep it from being bitter. Add orange zest, put in fridge and let flavors merge for a day or so.
Two packages black cherry jell-o: dissolve in 1 cup hot orange juice, add 1 cup cold orange juice and let set in fridge
Add jell-o to relish, and some pecans or walnuts if desired. Mix well and let flavors merge again.

EET.

OMG, that looks a lot like the recipe my family's been using forever. Except we just throw in cut-up oranges and let 'er rip.

I applaud you for the Tofurky, but I still think it's gross. I'm just going with a leek and mushroom pie. Yum yum yum.

Ha ha! I LOVE Tofurky roasts, and everyone teases me for it, because I'm a total meat and potatoes girl. I just love Tofurky, and I don't know why.
