I'm going out to run some errands and I may not be back until dinner, so I'm going to go ahead and post this as the Lost discussion entry. No, I never did post last week's recap; I've gotten behind and I'm going to have to play catchup this week and do two of them. It happens, you know ( Read more... )

Wednesday is my FAVORITE day of the week. Although...we're going to have form a support group or something; after next week, we get NOTHIN' until February. And that's a looooong ways away, people.

I'm already starting to stockpile chocolate. If I can't have one addiction, I will overcompensate with another. ;-)

Y'know, it doesn't actually bother me to lose Lost like I thought it would. I mean, yes it sucks, and yes I still watch the show avidly... but it isn't like I have nothing else cool to watch this fall. I suggest you join the warm geektastic embrace of Peter "Puppy Eyes" Petrelli and the mighty Hiro Nakamura.

I love Hiro! The way he smiles when he's making some superhero point or other to Ando...adorable!!

"I had a sword!"

I love Heroes, too! But I love Lost so much. My best friend is estatic because she's in love with Taye Digg, but I still wish Lost were a straight through season.

Hey, if it's been seventy-one days on the island, then I think it's, like, December second or something which means Christmas on the island. I wonder if the Others chop down a palm tree and decorate it with Christmas lights. :)

I got a phone call from my mom a couple weeks ago:

"I am so mad at you."
"O.o Why?"
"You made me watch Heroes, and now I can't stop! There's not enough room in my brain for this and Lost!"

I think this was a particularly dumb decision on ABC's part (using the timeslot of a much-loved show to launch one that seems to just be an action retake on Groundhog Day).

Lost started late, has had to fight Criminal Minds hard for the lead in this timeslot, and is only on for six weeks, after several months of no Lost on the air at all (because they skipped reruns in the second half of the summer, in favor of dumb variety shows).

Criminal Minds isn't as good, of course, but it's easy to jump into because the episodes tend to stand alone. I think it would have been MUCH smarter for ABC to have run 8-9 episodes of Lost, and then break until Feb, or not break at all and simply run reruns. (There are plenty of eps from last season that have never been rerun.)
