Yes, THIS. I mean, there are parts that I wish weren't left out, but I'm struggling to tell family members whether they should see the film or read the book, because I worry that after seeing the film they'll be asking were xyz were in the book. Also, the locked room was a fantastic alteration.

I don't care what the book says; I am going to pretend that's what they actually did to Crane because IT IS AMAZING.

(Okay, fine, the hanging does lead to the awesome effigy, but...STILL IT WAS PERFECT.)

It's a totally inappropriate thing to high-five over, but I had to sneak one in t my best friend during the reveal shot of the berries, because it was just such a perfect addition.
