Summary:
Jaejoong was a good son, a competent boss and a role model. It came as a shock to everyone when he met an accident that almost caused him his life. Fearing for his future, his parents decided to marry him off with a man. Will Jaejoong be able to find true love? Or will he still search for this nameless person he considered as his first love?

Yunho couldn’t sit still as he was reminded of what happened to Jaejoong last night at the movie theatre. Despite Changmin’s protest, he still had a faceoff with the man who scared Jae. He punched the man square in the jaw. When the man asked what the hell was wrong with him, Yunho told him that Jaejoong was his boyfriend (though he wasn’t). Changmin could only laugh at his hyung’s pathetic remarks but he quickly shut up when Yunho eyed with him total seriousness.
As he woke up the next day, Yunho became too unease. He kept pacing inside his room until his stupor was wakened up by his younger brother who could only watch him in amusement.
“I am happy that I can be a part of your entertainment Min.” He said bitterly. He gave up and slumped on the couch just in front of his bed.
Changmin with his leg crossed, laugh teasingly at his brother. “Why don’t you just go to the Kim’s house because I heard that they will announce about Jaejoong hyung’s husband this afternoon.” As soon as Yunho heard that, he whacked his brother on the head and headed straight towards his bedroom before he even got Changmin’s painful revenge. He could hear his younger brother threatening him outside but his mind was too busy thinking about Jaejoong being taken by somebody else.
When he stepped out of the bathroom, Changmin was no longer in his bedroom. He sighed in relief as he would not be dealing with his brother for the moment. After he got dressed, he picked up his car keys from the top drawer then made his way downstairs. He saw his Changmin chomping the munchkins they bought last night when they also watched a movie. He bid goodbye to his brother but only received an hmmm as a reply.
Yunho arrived at the Kim’s mansion. He was welcomed because their fathers were close and Yunho was a business affiliate too. Since Joongki could no longer leave his room, they set the meeting inside and began talking about the business that the Jung and Kim were about to co-manage but Yunho stopped him and said that it wasn’t the reason why he came to their place.
“I am here for Jaejoong Mr. Kim. I heard about Jaejoong marrying someone and I couldn’t let that happen.” Joongki and Hye kyo looked at each other in shock since Hye kyo hasn’t had it announced yet and Yunho was here so suddenly.
“What are you talking about Mr. Jung?” Hye kyo asked. She held her husband hand and she could feel that Joongki squeezed hers in assurance.
“Please don’t announce it. Jaejoong will not be in a good hand if that happens.”
“And what are you implying?” Joongki asked regardless of knowing full well what Yunho wanted.
“I wanted to marry your son Jaejoong and I am not asking anything in return. Just Jaejoong.” He told them with his eyes full of determination and sincerity which stunned the old couple as to why a healthy and handsome young man… a rich one too would want to be with their son who was publicly recognized as a survivor of fatal accident which unfortunately lost everything when he woke up as a child in a grown up man’s body.
Don’t get them wrong. Hye kyo was happy and looking at Joongki, he was too. It was just that they were puzzled and they couldn’t easily trust anyone when it concerned their son.
“I’ve wanted to court Jaejoong when I met him a few years back. I was about to, actually but then the accident happened and he was in coma then I have to leave for Japan. When I came back, I heard from someone about your plan for your son. Don’t ask me who... I cannot tell you but what’s important is I assure you that you can trust me. I will never let anyone hurt Jaejoong. I don’t care if he’s not the same person that I met before. I love him and I wanted to be with him. You can have my background checked. I have no criminal records. My own business is doing good and my father’s too. I only had one girlfriend and that ended pretty well when I told her I am in love with someone else and that it was a guy… Jaejoong to be exact.”
The atmosphere was quiet. The couple was contemplating things, weighing everything whether it would be good for Jaejoong or not. Yunho was young and a famous business man. A man like him was every woman’s dream and now the man was in front of them, asking for their only son’s hand for marriage. If it happened before the accident, they wouldn’t say no because Jaejoong knew what was best for him and for sure Jaejoong would fall in love with this man.
Joongki asked the maid to call for Jaejoong. They will decide whether to accept Yunho base from their son’s reaction. In a span of 30 minutes, the door opened revealing a freshly showered Jaejoong, clad in casual clothes that complemented his beautiful feature. They greeted their son but Jaejoong’s attention was instantly pondered at Yunho who was also eyeing as if there was no tomorrow.
Joongki called for his son in spite of feeling tired then he introduced Jaejoong to Yunho. His next statement surprised the other three.
“This is Yunho, Joongie ah. You’ll be staying with him from now on. He will be taking care of you like how your umma and appa are looking after you. ”
Joongki saw how his son got scared but it was a normal reaction. He had decided and no one including his wife could change that. Even as his son cried, he opted to make the man realize that he has Yunho now. He knew Yunho and his family. He believed and trusted Yunho that he will be able to protect his son even until he died.
Hye kyo tried to coo their son to stop his cries but Jaejoong began saying things that his eight year old mind has thought as a conclusion.
Maybe Hye kyo noticed his distress state that was why she began to help without asking for any reason.
“Joongie ah… Yunho will be taking care of you because umma has to take care of appa too and appa and umma won’t be able to take care of our baby since appa gets tired easily and umma has to make sure that appa won’t fall sick.” She explained as she wiped her son’s tears.
Hye kyo asked whether Jaejoong trusted them. As a good son, Jaejoong replied with a yes without any hesitation. She held her husband’s hand for support.
“Yunho is a good man Jaejoong. He offered to accompany you since appa and umma won’t be around that much for you. Junsu and Yoochun can’t stay with you that much. You’ll feel lonely without anyone of us. You can trust Yunho Joongie. He’ll take care of you just how we are taking care of you like what your appa said.” The couple held hands and brought Jae’s along. Joongki motioned for Yunho to do the same and the man followed.
“Tonight…” Joongki began. “…we’ll hold the ceremony… Hye kyo please call our lawyer… I don’t have much time… I wanted Joongie safe before that happens…” Jaejoong was confused but he did not say anything. He felt the stranger’s hands over his shoulders but instead of feeling uncomfortable, he found security and calmness.
Joongki saw this and he breathed a sigh of relief seeing how Jaejoong has easily acted to Yunho. Hye kyo then told Yunho to prepare and come back that night as she too, would prepare Jaejoong. Before Yunho was dismissed, they asked him to call them umma and appa and Yunho did with sincerity. He also asked if Yunho’s parents would be able to come possibly to talk about the future of their companies.
Finally, their son was in a good hand. Yunho had not demand for anything… only to be with Jaejoong… only to have Jaejoong by his side. Their son was still lucky. God was still guiding him. They’ve found the best man that deserved to be with their only son but Yunho was also a young and healthy man. Hye kyo made up her mind to talk to Yunho about it because Jaejoong was a child and Yunho couldn’t possibly be intimate with his son.
They’ve forgotten an important thing about Jaejoong that the doctor had found out. If Yunho do more than an act of intimacy with Jaejoong, what would happen if Jaejoong got pregnant? For Pete’s sake, he was only eight. Their baby will surely freak out and Yunho might think less of their Jaejoong. Maybe before the wedding, she could have a word with Yunho and explain things to him. If Yunho reacts wrongly then the marriage is off but… Yunho was the best candidate.
Should she tell Yunho or not?
“Yunho’s father… has been asking me for Yunho and Jaejoong to get married even before Hye kyo. Before, I thought it was just to tease Yunho when he’s around but now I understand.”
“I just hope that Yunho will stay as a good man. What if he something happened and Joongie got pregnant? Yunho’s perfectly healthy. From how I see it, he is totally in love with our baby.” Joongki chuckled and squeezed his wife’s hand.
“Ah. I am hoping to have a grandchild Hye kyo. Isn’t it just right if they gave us one?”
“No. Joongie’s only 8.”
“He’s 23… I only want someone to make you happy when I am no longer around.” Joongki smiled sadly as Hye kyo kissed him on the lips.
“Don’t say that Joongki. You still have a long way. You can’t leave me hon. Don’t please…”
“I’ll wait for a grandchild Hye kyo… no matter what.” Hye kyo sighed in defeat as she nodded her head at her husband. She put the man to sleep before she left, following their son on his room and perhaps to check if how Jaejoong mused over the situation. As much as possible, she would tell Jaejoong the truth about the event later tonight.
