oh...wow...
so i just realized something. my dad is old. like, i knew this before. but still.
when i was in preschool, i used to race him to the car afterwords. i always felt real fast because i always won. and back then i even thought that i was actually faster. then one day when i was a little older, we were running for a bus in oakland and he peeled away from me to hold the bus for me to catch up. i was baffled. suddenly, he's faster than me.
since then, i've become super active, hit puberty and he's had several injuries including recent knee surgery.
just now i realized that yesterday, when we were running for the parking lot after parade, i had to slow down just so he could keep up with me. i suppose he may have been taking it slow to keep from slipping or something of that nature. but still, y'know? my dad's getting older. shit...
