SF Pillow Fight '09 + Missed Connection
Yesterday I met up with a few friends and went to the San Francisco Pillow Fight. I took some photos, but there's a lot more professional cameras that took many more photos.
The event was very fun! But also extremely tiring. A lot of people and you're trying to knock people with your own pillow. I took off my glasses for the event, so I could only see people immediately in front of me. I guess it's the only time I'd invest in contacts, and even then where goggles to protect them from being popped out.
I went in for two charges. The first one I immediately got separated from fantom07 and Crummy. After a few minutes on non-stop attacks, my phone was ringing so I moved out of the fray to call back. After regrouping, fantom07, Jimmy and I went back in. This time we stuck together, backs to backs, and attacked everyone around us. SO. MUCH. FUN. I <3 SF.
On the way there, we took BART and I ended up meeting a girl, which results to this Craigslist Missed Connections post. Posting here so there's a record after the 7 days expire. I'll let the post speak for itself, but I do hope I meet up with her again. Sadly, CL is about the only avenue I have to make that happen, besides pure serendipity.
Met on North Berkeley BART heading to the Pillow Fight - m4w - 27 (berkeley)
While waiting for the BART in North Berkeley Station, we met along with my two friends, another random guy, and our pillows. We continued our conversation when we sat down on the BART. I talked about me working for a video game studio, you about working at UC Berkeley biology department. You're from Oregon originally and I'm from Michigan. You introduced yourself as Iris and my name is Seg.
The tragedy of this meeting is I assumed you would be getting off at Embarcadero, but you were meeting friends further down the line. If you would like to meet up again, say hello!
