Grad School and LA

USC has released their application for 2006-7 and there's not much different about it. But I think my first action step is to get the GRE done. The USC application is due by Jan 30th, but the GRE is more work than the application. At this point I'm going a head a little blindly and committing to the idea of grad school right now. If anything to get the GRE studied and done for. It will give me a better focus and hopefully I'll find better questions for myself in regards to the general grad school question.

I'm convinced the program itself is good for me, but I haven't fully committed myself to the idea of grad school itself. My problem is how my wants to work closer in the industry and get out of Boston to achieve that goal are clouding up decision making for grad school. The fact is I would better prefer to have a job as a game designer full-time (with benefits). I don't feel that getting such a job will happen while I'm out in Boston, and I don't want to give up my full-time job w/ benefits unless I am for sure getting a real job OR doing school.

These are some of the things rattling in my head at the moment.

game industry, jobs, grad school, usc, gre, game education
