Dear John:

On behalf of the Admission Committee, I am pleased to offer you admission to Emerson College for September. As a talented and motivated student, you will make a significant contribution to the Emerson community. We are confident that you have the potential to be successful in whichever field of communication or the performing arts you choose. Congratulations!

The Admission Committee believes that you have the intellectual ability to be a good student at Emerson, although your record indicates that you have experiences some academic difficulty in the past. Therefore, we will provide you with academic resources to ensure every opportunity for success.

At the beginning of your first term, you will meet with an advisor in our Advising and Leaning Assistance Centers to develop an individual academic monitoring plan. Together you will determine how often you will visit the Learning Assistance Center or meet with a specific course tutor. Since college-level course work presents a significant academic challenge, even our most academically able students seeks the support of our Learning Assistance Center.

Your admission is contingent upon completion of any current academic work at a level consistent with or above your previous performance and upon receipt of your final college transcript.

Emerson has a long tradition of academic excellence dating from 1880. Over the years, intelligent and creative students like you, have used their Emerson College education to become leaders in journalism, film, television, radio, speech pathology, audiology, writing, publishing, advertising, public relations, business, law, education and the theatre. We hope that you will become a part of this extended community that believes in your dreams.

Sincerely,
-SIGNED-
Sara S. Ramirez
Director of Admission
