wedding
First of all, I really need to upload some new pictures for my userpic, I haven't even listened to Justin's CD in probably even well over a year, so, yeah. I'll just have pictures of Mike and I, as soon as I feel producive.
Well, one of his sisters got married today. It was pretty nice, slightly disorganized, but still...pretty nice. It got me thinking about my own wedding, which is in about 11 months. We've decided that it won't be at my parents house, but at a park that my dad can get free through work. We can use the huge pavillion which, if the weather is bad, has huge garage-door like things on the side which we can pull down. That way, we don't have to worry about spending a lot of money on renting a tent and it already has tons of picnic tables inside. All we would have to worry about is tables for the head table and food, plus chairs for the ceremony. That may end up being free for us, too, because his mom can probably get them free for us through the local fire department just like she did for the wedding today.
All that being said, that will all save us a lot of money. Now we only have to worry about food and decorations, mainly. His parents, as a wedding gift, are paying for professional pictures, and I alread have my dress. His family will make most of the food, so the only stuff we'll have to pay for is the cake and some pasta which we will have Logli's make (grocery store, in case you're not familiar with it).
We're pretty sure we have the sound/music figured out, he may be able to get a DJ either free (he lives in a small town... go figure) or for pretty cheap. His friend that he used to work with is our officiant, and then it's mostly getting clothes and flowers for everyone.
