huggable hangers
i was channel surfing yesterday and landed on HSN, where they were featuring joy mangano's huggable hangers. i don't usually get sucked into infomercials or tv shopping channel specials, but i'd heard of these ultra slim, velvet-flocked hangers from friends who have them and love them, and i'd been thinking of trying them for a while. not only do they free up tons of closet space, the velvet flocking on the hangers keeps clothes from falling off and puddling into a messy heap on the floor (a common problem for me).
i ended up ordering 2 sets. each set includes 72 hangers, plus clips for pants/skirts, cascading hooks to connect multiple hangers so you save even more on space, 2 collapsible storage boxes, a garment bag, and refillable sachets for potpourri or something.
i got silver/grey and hot pink with chrome hardware (brass pictured here):
i'm looking forward to having more space in my closet. right now i use bulky wooden hangers from ikea. they look really nice, but they sure take up a lot of room!
