Wow.
Went and saw New Model Army last night. Easily one of the most intense shows I've seen in years. They didn't play all the songs I would've hoped for, but then again, if they played my ideal setlist, they'd probably still be on stage right now. I stumbled out of there hoarse, aching and bruised, covered in other people's nasty sweat, and grinning like an idiot. I'd go again in a second, and I can see why people follow this band.
Opening were the fleshies and some guy named Casey Neil. Casey was alright, sort of reminded me of old uncle tupelo stuff, but without the parts that I really liked. The fleshies were great as usual, but I have no fucking clue how they ended up playing this show. I think most of the audience was pretty confused by them.
