No Time Like The Present

Or maybe just…no time.

Who shortened the day?  I’m pretty certain there are two fewer hours in a day.  I’d really love to get those back and preferably while I’m awake so that I can use them constructively.  I fantasize about the time I’d spend on writing if I had the two missing hours.  I’ve taken to carrying my laptop with me everywhere I go and I must admit, I feel a bit odd pulling it out during lunch at work and sticking earphones in my ears so people won’t talk to me for an hour.  Almost like I’m showing off, or somehow think I’m above the little people who don’t write. What’s that all about?

When my eyes are open, they are burning.  I can’t make myself go to bed before midnight. I wake up at 6:00 am to do some really stupid (if effective) exercises. This morning I got a load of laundry and dinner in the crock pot before I even left for work. That is the only reason I have time to write this!  Oops out of time.

When do you sneak in writing time?  How do you organize your day in order to squeeze out extra writerly time?  Does anyone else feel funny about writing at work?  Or is that just me?
