How many of you are humming the tune now? For those of you who had no clue that was the title of a sizzling disco hit in the late 70’s, listen
here.
Speaking of sizzling videos. Here is a link to
Friend of God*, one of my favorite songs performed by
The Gospel Choir of the Cascades, a group I sing with (when I’m able to stand for more than 5 minutes at a time). CD’s are available for $10.00 + $2.50 shipping! I’ll even sign it for you if you order it through me. Oooo, the lure! Send me an email.
*I’m not a huge fan of the recording quality on most You Tube videos, our choir’s videos are no exception. So this link is to the studio recording posted by the lead singer. Hence her glam shot where the video would be.
Now I must mention the other group I sing with, though this group isn’t as hip and now, no You Tubes, yet! I get to hit High B’s and sing in Latin with this group.
The Cascade Chorale. This is a picture from our performance of Mozart’s Requiem. It was beyond amazing. That’s me, second one in, second row from the back on the right. Now you’ll recognize me at Target.
Writer? Am I a writer? I seem to have forgotten that completely this week. Maybe not completely. My faithful crit group has given me great input on their first impressions of the first two chaps of the middle grade novel I’m revising. I’m hoping to put the info to use soon. I haven’t written much of anything new this week, though.
I’ve been hanging out with
Nathan Bransford, a definite asset to the writing community and orange t-shirts. Alas, we have a very one sided relationship though. Sigh
A writer’s life is a lonely one. So I like to grab a cup-a-joe at
JacketFlap. Stop by my page, send me an invite. I love to make new JacketFriends.
To all of you sending kids off to school Tuesday (I’m ushering four out the door!) have a great school year! Now, get back to writing!
