Blabbering People And Their Laughs

Oct 06, 2008 19:01

So, three more weeks before I am crushed by Calculus. To make it worse, AP Calculus.

-sigh-

Right now, Math Analysis is the enemy. Last week, I had a good week in Math. Jeez. It took five weeks into the mester to have a good week in Math.
Why must I suffer the agonies of numbers when I am an English geek to begin with? XD

Anyway, as if weren't bad already, my table... man, I'm going to be bluntly honest. My table gets on my last nerve. Every day.

It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't talk, loudly, practically every second of the class. And that one guy's laugh. That one takes the cake as the most annoying laugh I've ever heard in my life. Good Lord.

There's more, oh, way more, but I'll stop. I don't like feeling like the gossiper. XD

In other news, I finished reading a book called The Lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold. It was creepy, touching, melancholy, but it also had its little moments of joy. I'd recommend it for a mature audience, though. I admit, a certain scene took me by surprise. And not in a good way. It was just... weird. O.o

Overall, it's a good book, I think. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Wholly, I mean.

If you don't already know, it's about a girl who was raped and murdered at the age of fourteen. The story is told from her perspective in heaven, watching her family and friends go on in life without her. She watches how her death affects everyone she cared about on Earth over time, how some change drastically. Then, there's her killer, known as the weird guy in the neighborhood, trying to conceal what he did. The girl's father suspects the neighbor's guilt, but doesn't have any evidence, so the police don't do much.

And it goes on like that. Her watching the Earth she was stripped from change over time while she remains the same '70's fourteen-year-old girl, forever in heaven.

That book was something. What, I don't know. But it was something.

XD

So light a candle and bless the cheese, I'm not at my best if you haven't noticed. It's the lack of time, I think.

Well, I should probably start working on the research paper that I've kept postponing for a while now. XD

Good day.
