Renpure Greenwashing

So some time last month I went to CVS pharmacy to buy some razors and a conditioner for my hair. I usually get my conditioner from Toadstool Soaps because it really is all natural, but unfortunately, I couldn't afford it this time around (after shipping it comes to over $12 @_@ I use a lot of conditioner because I have a lot of hair and it's getting pretty darn long, so I had to go the El Cheapo route).
Anyways, I saw this bright red "Renpure Organics" conditioner sitting there, only $6.99 and not just that but a tag on it saying "Try it FREE!" so I picked it up. I didn't read the ingredients until I got home (big "DURRR!" on my part right there).
First off, this product is NOT organic. It has a FEW ingredients which are, but then again so do some household cleaning products.
Secondly, if this is a "family" business, like they claim on the product packaging, then how the heck did they make over a billion bottles of this stuff? Wow. Sounds like a big freaking "family" to me. I'm sure the CEO of McDonalds and GM has a family as well. That doesn't mean they give a crap about the Earth or it's people.
Last but most certainly not least, when I rinse this out of my hair, A LARGE AMOUNT OF MY HAIR FALLS OUT.
Oh and I still have not gotten my $6.99 rebate back :P

Needless to say, I'm going to start making my own conditioner. I tried before but it turned out crappy. It's actually a really tricky process that will take me some time to get it just right. I probably won't sell any of it either and just keep it for personal use because hair stuff is never anywhere near as universal as things simple as handmade soap and lotion.

organic, greenwashing, renpure
