New Poem: "WE"
What is this that I am feeling?
It’s a new feeling to me,
Its like my heart wants to break free,
and run into your protective arms;
but my mind keeps holding me back
as I relive love’s pains in retrospect.
Baby, don’t do me any harm,
if I give you my all,
I only ask that you catch me when I fall.
i want this love to be true
I want to let myself be in love with you
And you in love with me
And together I want to make this thing “we”
I’m not asking for forever,
surely, that is asking too much too soon.
And don’t worry,
I’m not asking anything more of you
I’m content with what you give me,
all I want in return for my love is
your heart and your fidelity,
and that you love and care for me.
I don’t think you realize how much you mean to me
for you, I would do just about anything
if there’s something that you want
all you have to do is ask
and within reason,
your wish is my command
all this because you are my man
and I don’t want anyone else
don’t need anything more
just you and me
all I want is “we”
